Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called out to the Amazon fulfillment center on Pecan Park¬† Road near Jacksonville International Airport today around 7 AM after a man made threats against an Amazon employee working at the facility according to WJXT Channel 4.

The man said he was on the way to the facility with a gun to kill her. He has made past threats against her, including one time saying he would kill her children and that he would kill himself or make Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office kill him.

JSO tracked the man’s phone 11 miles away on Edgewood Avenue at the 19 unit Shannon Ridge Apartments, which seven years ago in 2012 was the target of an investigation by Jacksonville’s Drug Abatement Response Team for drug dealing and crime, after they traced his phone.

Police spoke to the man via the woman’s cell phone and the man said that if the woman didn’t come out of the Amazon facility, he would kill himself in the parking lot. However the suspect was never found or located at the facility.

According to reports, no arrests were made and the investigation remains active.
